ODE Restraint/Seclusion Survey-coming soon!
The Ohio Department of Education will be sending districts a survey link in the next few weeks that will used to make a required report of your district’s restraint and seclusion data for the 2016-2017 school year. Part of this update will require restraint and seclusion reporting at the building level of your district or community school. Your district must comply with the restraint and seclusion reporting requirements in rule 3301-35-15(J) of the Ohio Administrative Code and the State Board of Education policy on the following:
  • Submission of an annual report of incidents of students restrained and secluded; and
  • Adoption of policies and procedures for positive behavior interventions and support (PBIS), restraint and seclusion.
Autism and Jon Peterson Special Need Scholarship District Reviewer Training to be Offered.

The Ohio Department of Education will be offering training for district reviewers later this fall. There will be five regional sessions offered. Sessions will cover the use of the online scholarship system and regulations relating to the Autism and Jon Peterson Special Needs scholarships. Registration for these trainings will be through the STARS system.

Regional Vision and Hearing Training - ODE
The Ohio Department of Health will provide Regional Vision and Hearing Training on April 19, 2018 in partnership with State Support Team Region 4.  The Hearing Training is scheduled from  7:50am-12:00pm and the Vision Training is scheduled from 12:30-3:00pm.

Document with House Bill 410 guidance and FAQs released
