The State Support Team Region 4 provides support for early learning program administrators and educators as they administer Ohio Department of Education (ODE)-required assessments and data collection, including
- Get it, Got it, Go! (GGG);
- health and developmental screenings, as outlined in ELPG;
- the Kindergarten Readiness Assessment-Literacy (KRA-L);
- Ages and Stages-Social Emotional (ASQ-SE); and
- Early Childhood Outcomes (ECO) summary form.
The State Support Team Region 4 supports the development of the Lake/Geauga Interagency Agreement. The intent of the Lake/Geauga Interagency Agreement is to ensure that families of children with disabilities, who face numerous service providers and transitions, receive seamless transitions. This agreement is being expanded to ensure that all children have successful transitions in their early years. In Lake and Geauga County, Help Me Grow, Head Start, Local Education Agencies (School Districts), Starting Point (Resource and Referral), and the Lake and Geauga County Boards of Developmental Delay (used to be MRDD) partner to ensure that children prenatal through five receive the best service and supports possible without experiencing a gap in their service delivery system.

The State Support Team Region 4 ensures early learning and child care programs develop, coordinate and implement an early learning plan to assure a free appropriate public education (FAPE) in the least restrictive environment (LRE).
The State Support Team Region 4 supports district and Head Start personnel regarding the Itinerant Consultative Model as service delivery options for LRE.
The State Support Team Region 4 assists in program evaluation including the administration of the Early Language and Literacy Classroom Observation (ELLCO) for district operated programs to ensure quality as determined by ODE.
The State Support Team Region 4 supports district leadership teams (DLTs) as they facilitate connections among districts and early childhood programs, including training in use of the Early Learning-Primary Assessment Data workbook and Ready Schools Resource Guide, and Special Quest approach to inclusion.
